Like a piece of music or literature, the painting should supersede explanation. But, the tale of creation is, if anything, charged with meaning. Painting becomes a way of digesting thoughts, exploring limits, taming demons. This process becomes a means of cleansing the spirit and purifying the mind as a story unfolds through paint. When it is time, the process is complete, and I am no longer needed. The painting then speaks through a voice of it's own. |
